# Lorex Pro vs HPLink

The clearest difference is rating: Lorex Pro at 2.2 against HPLink's 1.6. Lorex Pro also leads on ratings volume (48 vs 9) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). HPLink's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 19%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lorex Pro holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lorex Pro has 48 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Lorex Pro's written reviews are positive against 50% of HPLink's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lorex Pro ships an update every 4 months, HPLink every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
