# ShipmentsFree vs Package Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Package Tracker at 4.7 against ShipmentsFree's 1.2. Package Tracker also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (111 vs 21). ShipmentsFree's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and review sentiment (10% vs 0%). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Package Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. ShipmentsFree asks for nothing beyond the download.

Package Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Package Tracker has 111 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of ShipmentsFree's written reviews are positive against 0% of Package Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ShipmentsFree ships an update every 11 months, Package Tracker every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
