# Scrypted vs Frame Crop

The clearest difference is price: Scrypted at Free against Frame Crop's $7.99. Scrypted also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Frame Crop's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 33%) and ratings volume (502 vs 16). On update cadence, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Scrypted is free to download; Frame Crop costs $7.99 up front. Frame Crop sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Scrypted asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scrypted holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frame Crop has 502 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Scrypted's written reviews are positive against 70% of Frame Crop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
