# Forma vs RichScan

The clearest difference is ads: RichScan at none against Forma's shown. RichScan also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 70%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Forma's advantage is ratings volume (26K vs 81) and chart position (#106 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forma sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and RichScan sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Forma against 4.8 for RichScan. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Forma has 26K ratings behind it against 81, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Forma's written reviews are positive against 100% of RichScan's.

Forma ships an update every 3 weeks, RichScan every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
