# Forma vs PDF Document Editor

The clearest difference is rating: Forma at 4.7 against PDF Document Editor's 1.0. Forma also leads on ratings volume (26K vs 1) and chart position (#109 vs unranked). PDF Document Editor's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forma sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and PDF Document Editor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Forma holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Forma has 26K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
