# SWIPTV vs Vaultica

The clearest difference is rating: Vaultica at 5.0 against SWIPTV's 4.2. Vaultica also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17). SWIPTV's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SWIPTV sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Vaultica sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vaultica holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SWIPTV has 125 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SWIPTV ships an update weekly, Vaultica every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
