# SWIPTV vs IPTV Smart Player

The clearest difference is ads: SWIPTV at none against IPTV Smart Player's shown. SWIPTV also leads on ratings volume (124 vs 37) and iOS requirement (17 vs 26.0). IPTV Smart Player's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SWIPTV sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and IPTV Smart Player sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IPTV Smart Player holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 124 and 37 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of SWIPTV's written reviews are positive against 66% of IPTV Smart Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SWIPTV ships an update weekly, IPTV Smart Player every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
