# WatchType vs UBrowser

WatchType and UBrowser both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 56% of WatchType's written reviews are positive against 37% of UBrowser's. UBrowser's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (570 vs 168). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WatchType sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and UBrowser sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for WatchType against 4.3 for UBrowser. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 168 and 570 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of WatchType's written reviews are positive against 37% of UBrowser's.

WatchType ships an update every 2 months, UBrowser monthly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
