# 6 Tool vs MyLog

The clearest difference is rating: 6 Tool at 5.0 against MyLog's 4.0. 6 Tool also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). MyLog's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 6 Tool sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $99.99 per year and MyLog sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

6 Tool holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 6 Tool has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of 6 Tool's written reviews are positive against 100% of MyLog's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

6 Tool ships an update every 3 weeks, MyLog every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
