# Switch vs Nomadic Controls

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nomadic Controls at every 3 weeks against Switch's every 12 months. Switch's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Switch ships an update every 12 months, Nomadic Controls every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 12, 2026 respectively.
