# Switch vs Triple Map

The clearest difference is ads: Switch at none against Triple Map's shown. Switch also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.8.3). Triple Map's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 12 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Switch ships an update every 12 months, Triple Map every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
