# Trackhawk GPS vs Optimus Tracking Pro

The clearest difference is rating: Optimus Tracking Pro at 4.3 against Trackhawk GPS's 3.9. Optimus Tracking Pro also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (286 vs 16). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Optimus Tracking Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Optimus Tracking Pro has 286 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Trackhawk GPS's written reviews are positive against 27% of Optimus Tracking Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trackhawk GPS ships an update every 4 months, Optimus Tracking Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
