# Noteit vs Scroll File

The clearest difference is price: Noteit at Free against Scroll File's $2.99. Noteit also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). Scroll File's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Noteit is free to download; Scroll File costs $2.99 up front. Noteit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Scroll File asks for nothing beyond the download.

Noteit holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Noteit has 36 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Noteit's written reviews are positive against 73% of Scroll File's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Noteit ships an update every 9 days, Scroll File monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 8, 2026 respectively.
