# Instory for Insta vs AltNet

Instory for Insta and AltNet are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Instory for Insta sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and AltNet sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instory for Insta ships an update weekly, AltNet every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
