# BimmerUtility vs FLASHEX

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FLASHEX at 80% against BimmerUtility's 20%. FLASHEX also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). BimmerUtility's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (23 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BimmerUtility holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BimmerUtility has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of BimmerUtility's written reviews are positive against 80% of FLASHEX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BimmerUtility ships an update every 2 months, FLASHEX fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
