# PassStore vs X WhiteGate

The clearest difference is update cadence: X WhiteGate at every 2 weeks against PassStore's every 5 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PassStore sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per year and X WhiteGate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PassStore ships an update every 5 months, X WhiteGate every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
