# Appstart vs Nemets Cut

The clearest difference is rating: Appstart at 4.2 against Nemets Cut's 3.8. Appstart also leads on ratings volume (440 vs 4). Nemets Cut's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 86%) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Appstart holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Appstart has 440 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Appstart's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nemets Cut's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Appstart ships an update monthly, Nemets Cut every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
