# been vs Flags

The clearest difference is rating: Flags at 5.0 against been's 4.6. Flags also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). been's advantage is ratings volume (748 vs 1) and chart position (#187 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. been sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Flags sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flags holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: been has 748 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

been ships an update every 3 weeks, Flags weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
