# BÉIS vs LONELY GHOST

The clearest difference is monetization model: LONELY GHOST at free against BÉIS's free with in-app purchases. LONELY GHOST also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 62%). BÉIS's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 175). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for BÉIS against 4.9 for LONELY GHOST. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BÉIS has 11K ratings behind it against 175, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of BÉIS's written reviews are positive against 80% of LONELY GHOST's.

BÉIS ships an update fortnightly, LONELY GHOST every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
