# Temp Mail vs Vanishmail

The clearest difference is monetization model: Temp Mail at free with in-app purchases against Vanishmail's subscription. Temp Mail also leads on ratings volume (2.5K vs 23). Vanishmail's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Temp Mail sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Vanishmail sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vanishmail holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Temp Mail has 2.5K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Temp Mail's written reviews are positive against 100% of Vanishmail's.

Temp Mail ships an update every 2 months, Vanishmail weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
