# PitcheroGPS vs ApexHunt

The clearest difference is update cadence: ApexHunt at every 2 days against PitcheroGPS's every 3 weeks. ApexHunt also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). PitcheroGPS's advantage is ratings volume (42 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ApexHunt holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PitcheroGPS has 42 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

PitcheroGPS ships an update every 3 weeks, ApexHunt every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
