# Authentic Detective vs Kosher Switch

The clearest difference is monetization model: Authentic Detective at free against Kosher Switch's subscription. Authentic Detective also leads on ratings volume (297 vs 1). Kosher Switch's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Authentic Detective against 5.0 for Kosher Switch. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Authentic Detective has 297 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Authentic Detective ships an update every 2 weeks, Kosher Switch daily. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
