# Commit vs Focus & Discipline

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Focus & Discipline at 100% against Commit's 60%. Focus & Discipline also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). Commit's advantage is ratings volume (42 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Commit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Focus & Discipline sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus & Discipline holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Commit has 42 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Commit's written reviews are positive against 100% of Focus & Discipline's.

Commit ships an update every 2 weeks, Focus & Discipline every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
