# Secure Volunteer vs PKB

The clearest difference is rating: PKB at 5.0 against Secure Volunteer's 2.0. Secure Volunteer's advantage is ratings volume (30 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PKB holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure Volunteer has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Secure Volunteer ships an update every 2 months, PKB every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
