# BookWatch vs EEPP

BookWatch and EEPP both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of EEPP's written reviews are positive against 51% of BookWatch's. EEPP also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). BookWatch's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 weeks) and ratings volume (14K vs 21). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BookWatch sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and EEPP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for BookWatch against 4.8 for EEPP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BookWatch has 14K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 51% of BookWatch's written reviews are positive against 94% of EEPP's.

BookWatch ships an update every 3 days, EEPP every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
