# BookWatch vs Memrbl

The clearest difference is ads: Memrbl at none against BookWatch's shown. Memrbl also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). BookWatch's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BookWatch sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Memrbl sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Memrbl holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BookWatch has 14K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BookWatch ships an update every 3 days, Memrbl every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
