# Qwik VBT vs BarSpeed

The clearest difference is update cadence: BarSpeed at every 3 days against Qwik VBT's every 5 weeks. BarSpeed also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Qwik VBT's advantage is ratings volume (41 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Qwik VBT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BarSpeed sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BarSpeed holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Qwik VBT has 41 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Qwik VBT ships an update every 5 weeks, BarSpeed every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
