# 101TEXT vs ESET VPN

The clearest difference is rating: 101TEXT at 5.0 against ESET VPN's 4.3. 101TEXT also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). ESET VPN's advantage is ratings volume (502 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

101TEXT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ESET VPN has 502 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
