# Simple Handwritten Note vs Grafika

The clearest difference is rating: Simple Handwritten Note at 5.0 against Grafika's 2.5. Simple Handwritten Note also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Grafika's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ratings volume, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grafika sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Simple Handwritten Note asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simple Handwritten Note holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Simple Handwritten Note's written reviews are positive against 67% of Grafika's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simple Handwritten Note ships an update every 3 months, Grafika fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
