# innerFriend vs JoyPace

The clearest difference is review sentiment: innerFriend at 96% against JoyPace's 33%. innerFriend also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). JoyPace's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. innerFriend sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. JoyPace asks for nothing beyond the download.

JoyPace holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: JoyPace has 9.5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of innerFriend's written reviews are positive against 33% of JoyPace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

innerFriend ships an update every 3 weeks, JoyPace fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
