# OffScript vs Throne

OffScript and Throne both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of OffScript's written reviews are positive against 38% of Throne's. Throne's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 19) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OffScript sells 19 one-off in-app purchases. Throne asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for OffScript against 4.8 for Throne. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Throne has 7.9K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of OffScript's written reviews are positive against 38% of Throne's.

OffScript ships an update every 2 months, Throne every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
