# Monopong vs Wavy

The clearest difference is price: Monopong at Free against Wavy's $1.99. Monopong also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (35 vs 2). Wavy's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Monopong is free to download; Wavy costs $1.99 up front. Monopong sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Wavy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Monopong holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monopong has 35 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Monopong's written reviews are positive against 100% of Wavy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Monopong ships an update every 6 weeks, Wavy every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
