# Springs Cinema vs Screxa

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Springs Cinema at none against Screxa's 1. Springs Cinema also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (20% vs 0%). Screxa's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screxa sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Springs Cinema asks for nothing beyond the download.

Screxa holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Springs Cinema has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Springs Cinema's written reviews are positive against 0% of Screxa's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Springs Cinema ships an update every 3 months, Screxa fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
