# AromaTech vs Aroma Retail

The clearest difference is rating: Aroma Retail at 1.7 against AromaTech's 1.3. Aroma Retail also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (26 vs 7). AromaTech's advantage is review sentiment (14% vs 4%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aroma Retail holds the better App Store score, 1.7 against 1.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of AromaTech's written reviews are positive against 4% of Aroma Retail's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AromaTech ships an update every 2 months, Aroma Retail fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
