# MaxPlayer vs SAB Player Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: MaxPlayer at free against SAB Player Pro's free with in-app purchases. SAB Player Pro's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MaxPlayer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SAB Player Pro sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MaxPlayer ships an update every 6 weeks, SAB Player Pro every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
