# Current. vs Video Tiles

The clearest difference is ads: Video Tiles at none against Current.'s shown. Current.'s advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Current. sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Video Tiles sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Current. ships an update every 8 days, Video Tiles every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
