# BatChat vs PokerNex

The clearest difference is rating: BatChat at 3.5 against PokerNex's 1.0. BatChat also leads on ratings volume (99 vs 1). PokerNex's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 86%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BatChat sells 27 one-off in-app purchases and PokerNex sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BatChat holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BatChat has 99 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of BatChat's written reviews are positive against 100% of PokerNex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BatChat ships an update every 2 weeks, PokerNex every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
