# BatChat vs Potato S Chat

The clearest difference is rating: Potato S Chat at 4.3 against BatChat's 3.5. BatChat's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BatChat sells 27 one-off in-app purchases and Potato S Chat sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Potato S Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BatChat has 99 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.
