# BatChat vs Telegroup Plus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BatChat at 86% against Telegroup Plus's 41%. BatChat also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Telegroup Plus's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (406 vs 100). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BatChat sells 27 one-off in-app purchases and Telegroup Plus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Telegroup Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 100 and 406 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of BatChat's written reviews are positive against 41% of Telegroup Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BatChat ships an update every 2 weeks, Telegroup Plus every 6 months. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
