# Drop Merge® vs Solitaire*

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Solitaire* at none against Drop Merge®'s 11. Solitaire* also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Drop Merge®'s advantage is ratings volume (24K vs 1). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drop Merge® sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Solitaire* asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Drop Merge® against 5.0 for Solitaire*. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drop Merge® has 24K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Drop Merge® ships an update monthly, Solitaire* every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
