# Studeez vs Retain Cards

Studeez and Retain Cards both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 79% of Studeez's written reviews are positive against 50% of Retain Cards's. Retain Cards's advantage is ratings volume (422 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Studeez sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Retain Cards sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Retain Cards holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Retain Cards has 422 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Studeez's written reviews are positive against 50% of Retain Cards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
