# Last Cube X vs SpeedCube App

The clearest difference is rating: Last Cube X at 4.8 against SpeedCube App's 4.0. Last Cube X also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (170 vs 1). SpeedCube App's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Last Cube X sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and SpeedCube App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Last Cube X holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Last Cube X has 170 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Last Cube X's written reviews are positive against 100% of SpeedCube App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Last Cube X ships an update every 10 days, SpeedCube App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
