# Mood Board vs PDF Factory Plus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mood Board at fortnightly against PDF Factory Plus's every 26 months. Mood Board also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 25%) and ratings volume (101 vs 10). PDF Factory Plus's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mood Board sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and PDF Factory Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Factory Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mood Board has 101 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Mood Board's written reviews are positive against 25% of PDF Factory Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mood Board ships an update fortnightly, PDF Factory Plus every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
