# 扇贝考研 vs Kukukao

The clearest difference is ratings volume: 扇贝考研 at 170 against Kukukao's 2. Kukukao's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 扇贝考研 sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Kukukao sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kukukao holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 扇贝考研 has 170 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 98% and 98% positive.

扇贝考研 ships an update every 4 weeks, Kukukao every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
