# Winchoice vs NY State Solar

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NY State Solar at 100% against Winchoice's 33%. Winchoice's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.9). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Winchoice holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Winchoice's written reviews are positive against 100% of NY State Solar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Winchoice ships an update every 3 weeks, NY State Solar every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
