# StudioNotes vs Dubnote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StudioNotes at 100% against Dubnote's 65%. StudioNotes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Dubnote's advantage is ratings volume (163 vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StudioNotes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Dubnote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudioNotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dubnote has 163 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of StudioNotes's written reviews are positive against 65% of Dubnote's.

StudioNotes ships an update every 3 weeks, Dubnote every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
