# Timer vs beep! Interval Timer

The clearest difference is rating: beep! Interval Timer at 5.0 against Timer's 4.4. beep! Interval Timer also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Timer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and beep! Interval Timer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
