# Timer vs Tiimer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tiimer at 100% against Timer's 20%. Tiimer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and monetization model (freemium vs subscription). Timer's advantage is ratings volume (442 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Tiimer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tiimer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timer has 442 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Timer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tiimer's.

Timer ships an update every 4 days, Tiimer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
