# Chess Move vs Elite Chess Database

The clearest difference is rating: Chess Move at 4.3 against Elite Chess Database's 1.0. Chess Move also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). Elite Chess Database's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 28%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chess Move sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Elite Chess Database sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chess Move holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chess Move has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Chess Move's written reviews are positive against 50% of Elite Chess Database's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
