# MTPOS vs Direct POS

The clearest difference is update cadence: Direct POS at monthly against MTPOS's every 7 months. MTPOS's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MTPOS ships an update every 7 months, Direct POS monthly. Both last shipped on October 6, 2026.
